The four cockroaches Evict treats
- German cockroaches: small and light brown, found in kitchens and bathrooms. They breed fast and are the most common roach in apartments and restaurants.
- American cockroaches: large and reddish brown, often in drains, garages and sewers.
- Oriental cockroaches: dark, almost black, drawn to damp places such as drains, crawl spaces and under sinks.
- Brown-banded cockroaches: small, with light bands across the back, found in warmer, drier spots such as closets, furniture and electronics.
Signs of cockroaches
- Roaches seen at night when a light comes on, especially in the kitchen or bathroom.
- Small dark droppings that look like pepper or coffee grounds in cabinets and drawers.
- Egg cases, small brown capsules, behind appliances or in cabinet corners.
- A musty, oily smell in a heavily used cabinet or pantry.
If you have seen a few, there are more you have not. Evict's pest guide says it plainly: colonies live under flooring, inside the structure and in stored items, and clearing them takes thorough work.
What affects the price
Evict looks at the property first and goes over pricing before any work starts.
